Hybrid finance event

We were tasked with creating an online experience for employees of a bank who weren’t able to attend the in-person launch of a new, premium product. In addition, content needed to be segregated by the visitor’s region, without requiring login or the storage of user information.

As well as being engaging and reflective of the product’s high end nature the project had to be accessible, subject to audits and adhere to the bank’s uncompromising brand guidelines.

The platform also needed to interact with in person attendees through quizzes, touchscreen info points and a real-time, animated arrivals/departures board such that online attendees felt a part of something more than just a static website.

Immersive

The online experience needed to address the user by name and make them feel part of the event that they weren't able to attend in person. In turn, dynamic content should interact with the on site events in Singapore, Hong Kong and Birmingham that were running concurrently.

Accessible

The platform needed to be totally navigable by keyboard alone and screen reader friendly. Videos required switchable captions and downloadable transcripts as a minimal accessibility requirement. All the while, the product team demanded an immersive platform that didn't fall into the categories of "traditional" or "generic".

On brand

The platform was used as a new-product "brochure", so had to respect every element of the brand's guidelines - from spacing, fonts and colours to icon usage and button placement. We worked closely with the bank's branding team to make sure of the meticulous details.

Dynamic content

Content was made available according to a user's region, in line with the respective variations of the product. Whilst we couldn't store user information on our servers, we could save it to each user's own device, then retrieve it as and when we needed to display dynamic content. If no region was detected, users would be directed back to the homepage to stop the sharing of information to others who weren't authenticated.

Room progression

The product simulated the progression through four rooms, with users only able to progress once they'd sufficiently acknowledged the information about the current aspect of the new product.

Cross platform

Content and quizzes were available to both on-site and online users with results across each, collated and displayed in real time in Hong Kong, Singapore, Birmingham and online.

Departure board

Developed as an immediate means of showing a collective involvement between all three regions and online attendees, visitors were instantaneously shown as having departed on their journey as they were accredited at the event. In turn, as they left or completed final website tasks, they were shown as having landed at their destination.

What kind of planner are you?

Required to illustrate and compare instantaneous results across Hong Kong, Singapore, Birmingham and online attendees, we developed a touchscreen and online quiz that stored anonymously to our database then rendered the results in real time in the form of animated graphs and statistics.

The health jukebox

Initially built to host video and audio content, touchscreens were used as interactive learning tools and needed to correlate with the same experience available to online users.
