Gamification; a word that’s often touted in the event world. We build bespoke solutions according to the audience. In this instance, we’ve built a retro arcade with a leaderboard for the more competitive amongst you.

Enter a player moniker and we’ll create you a QR pass – scan with your mobile phone to start playing the JMA Arcade then we’ll real-time aggregate your scores into the below leaderboard each time you visit and use your moniker.

Lovely stuff. Now scan the QR to start playing games on your mobile device or click below to change your moniker.

It’s great that you could be here. Snoop around, play some games, accumulate some scores then share this page with your friend(s) to boast that you’ve made the leaderboard top 10 after several hours practise.

Strike us up via the contact icon (top right) if you’d like us to try to recreate any retro games / puzzles you haven’t seen for a while – we get immeasurable pleasure in building this stuff out instead of doing the things that actually make us any money.

Click below to create a game pass and start playing.

Your scores will accumulate to the moniker you use and that dream of sitting on the leaderboard might start to come true…

Player 1
Tech desk
Overview
Tech desk is essentially exactly what the techs are doing behind their tables of flashing lights, laptops and sliders in order to keep the event running. This is your chance to learn how to be an event tech and a training ground for those of you who already are.
Click the green buttons, avoid the red ones. The game starts slow then gets quicker.
Score a point for every green button you click. The game (event) ends if you click a red button or if the grid fills up.
Delegate Dash
Overview
A game for event marketers and promo teams. Get as many delegates into the JMA Event Summit as possible, navigating the ever increasing traffic as rush hour looms. If you fancy yourself as something of an event organiser, this is your time to shine.
Tap the arrows to navigate traffic and get punters through the front door.
Each delegate scores you 10 points.
Code Invaders
Overview
Code invaders follows the basic principles that any good firewall might in fighting off an attack – blast curly braces at nasty scripts to clear the bugs. Be it an SQL injection, cross site request forgeries / script, leak or general bug the JMA Mothership has got your back. Internet trolls say its a rip off of Space Invaders, but they’re wrong and commenting isn’t enabled here for any kind of retort to that.
Tap the left and right thumb pads to move, click anywhere else to fire.
Score 3 points for every invader you nail, but spend 1 point for every shot you fire. Clear each wave with as few shots as possible, for maximum point scoring. You may find canvas firing is the only option in the latter rounds however.
Good code bad code
Overview
Good Code Bad Code is a generally annoying game, in which you have to spot the difference in two sets of code. It starts simple then slowly gets a little trickier. In turn, the bad code is often not actually bad, it’s just different. So in summary, an annoying game with a poor title. Have a lovely time.
Tap the difference in the second set of code.
With each correct difference that you spot, you score the number of seconds that are left on the 20s timer for that round, then progress to the next.

All time aggregated scores by player moniker.

Don’t feel bad if you haven’t yet made the top 10. The JMA Arcade is regarded as one of the toughest gaming environments since Kick Off 1990.

Keep practising and all of your wildest dreams might yet come true…
